# Mappaa’s Vision
My name is Patrick Winten.
For years, I was at the heart of discussions about damage, handover inspections and responsibilities. I saw how often conflicts ultimately boil down to one simple problem: poor assessments.
Reports are too vague. Photographs are not linked to the description. Details are overlooked. Afterwards, nobody can remember exactly what was present at the start, where damage was located or how extensive it was.
I wanted to change that.
That is why I developed **Mappaa**.
## What Mappaa does today
Mappaa helps to draw up clear and verifiable property condition reports.
The application supports:
* structuring a file for each room;
* collecting and linking photographs;
* AI-assisted analysis of photographs;
* describing findings;
* compiling a professional report;
* digital file tracking;
* online signing of completed reports.
The user always remains in control and decides what ultimately goes into the report.
The guiding principle remains simple:
**no interpretation where facts suffice.**
A description such as:
> “good condition”
means very little in retrospect.
A statement such as:
> “a scratch of approximately 15 cm, to the left of the patio door”
is much more useful.
